ABOUT THE AREA
The apartment is situated in the suburb of Voula (about 12 Km from central Athens), which is likely the most exclusive living area in the country and for good reasons, which you’ll confirm personally upon your visit. The apartment is situated in the most convenient and beautiful part of that area. Just to name a few benefits:
-Tennis courts literally “around the corner”
-It’s the single most beautiful area of Athens, offering the quite unique combination of living in a vibrant city, while being in calm, civilized and safe environment with the sea practically at your doorstep. You can just walk within minutes to the beach were you can actually swim; it’s not just a coast line but a sandy beach with clean water and many beach clubs that offer an umbrella, a drink, food etc.
-It’s quite close to the airport and you don’t have to go through traffic off densely populated areas, just main routes therefore the ride usually less than 30 minutes, you need just 1 bus and the bus station is close (less than 5 minutes walking).
-The main square of Voula is also very close (less than a 5 minute walk) and you can find there anything you need (restaurants, banks, grocery stores and much more), so you don’t “have” to go to the center of the city unless you want to.
-If you like running or walking, the environment is very suitable, green, with many parks, wide sidewalks with trees and of course the sea.
-If you wish to go to the center of town there is a bus, but also a metro that travels along the coast offering a very scenic ride.
-You don’t need a car to live there but you can easily and safely park a car right in front of the main entrance of the building.
This is why this area is the prime choice of foreigners that are there for business or just for their retirement years. It’s simply the best the city has to offer in terms of quality of life and access (airport) and that’s why the resale values during the economic crises have been only dropped by 50% and not by 80% or more as in central Athens.
